Thanks for taking a moment or two to explore my website.
My name is Jeannie Neighorn and I come to you with a thorough knowledge of life in the world of meeting deadlines. My early jobs were secretarial and admin type jobs, working with director-level executives, where everything was due yesterday! I actually think that background helped me when I later decided to become a small business owner and, later, a real estate broker with my own small firm. Providing good service is the key to all successful businesses, including this one.
Before starting out in the world of independent providers, I tried very hard to do what you, as court reporters, do. I loved the two years I spent at Professional Court Reporting School of Richardson (Texas). Academically, I did very well. Unfortunately, I simply could not develop the speed needed to enter that career. However, I learned a lot of valuable insights into your profession and acquired knowledge not readily found elsewhere, which should make me a valuable addition to your team.
What I have to offer, in addition to the training for and the skill of proofreading, is a strong work ethic. Having been self employed for many years, I am disciplined and self motivated. Meeting deadlines has always been an important factor in my business life.
For the last couple of years I have been updating and enhancing my skills. I knew I'd like to do something in the legal arena and knew I wanted to be able to work from my home, or on the road. This is it!
So far, I have met -- virtually -- some great reporters! I look forward to many years of working with your team to further enhance the court reporters' charge to record and protect the record.
